Why should I join?

GYNECA provides a strong, supportive network of individuals committed to making a difference in the world. This is a great opportunity to learn about how scientific journals work and what the publishing process looks like. By joining, you will also be part of the effort in promoting the under-researched field of women's health.

Throughout the year, we will also be bringing in guest speakers, giving you the opportunity to network and learn from professionals in the medical and research industries.

Who can join?

Anyone! We strongly encourage freshmen and anyone who has an interest in learning about starting a scientific journal from scratch, whether it be editing, designing, layout, guideline creation, or team management.

Who can apply for the E-Board?

Any Columbia/Barnard student who is driven, organized, and collaborative in nature. We are looking for students who are interested in publishing, women's health, and/or pursuing a career in research or medicine.

How will GYNECA be structured?

GYNECA has weekly E-board meetings as well as General Body meetings every three weeks. Respective committees will also have a weekly in person meeting led by their E-board member.
